CLWSC supply is treated surface water — hard, chlorinated, but iron-free, so a softener and optionally a whole house catalytic carbon filter cover it. Well homes on the north and west shores show the same iron and sulfur pattern as Spring Branch and Bulverde.
Published range $2,100–$4,000 pre-plumbed, softener only. Higher only for code work, distance, or special circumstances.
